Projecting Photography

Photography is a passion of mine. I only ever work with the most crisp photographs and the highest quality cameras; and when displaying them to friends or strangers I want this clarity to be portrayed perfectly. A couple of months ago I invested in an iPad 2, I figured it would be a great way to show off my shots on the move. And it was! The HD screen displayed my photographs perfectly but it wasn’t enough – unfortunately the 7″ screen just isn’t practical in so many situations.

So I had a look around and decided that I needed to be able to project the images from my iPad 2 onto a wall. A quick search for “iPad 2 Projector” came up with the answer. The SHOWWX+ HDMI from MicroVision is a top of the range mobile projecting device known as a ‘pico projector’. With minimal effort I can just plug it in and switch on a slideshow for all around to watch. The quality is still crisp enough for me to project images without losing quality and there is little need to turn off the lights. All in all, very happy and I couldn’t recommend this iPad 2 projector more!

Tea Towels from Across the Globe!

Being a photographer, I’m really into art. Sometimes it’s the simplest of items that I enjoy looking at the most and today was no exception. On a hunt for some beautiful tea towels I found the following from across the globe!

How quaint! Some British tea towels that were designed for heritage occasions and museums. I especially like the traditional style of drawing adopted for the tea towel on the right.

Above is a pair of German tea towels that were created by a wood carver. The tea towel on the left is absolutely stunning and the attention to detail is simply marvellous!

And here! From my apartment in New Mexico. Nothing to write home about of course but this is a simple heirloom created by my Grandmother’s fair hand. While the design is lacking, the traditional style makes it quite the piece of art!
